A select number of partial scholarships are available if you are in genuine need of financial aid, work for a non-profit organisation, or have lost your income due to the coronavirus pandemic (this will need to be substantiated). Please complete your application and mark the scholarship box with an ‘x’.

Attending once monthly live online sessions per module. In addition, you will spend one to two hours per week watching video teachings, participating in live Q&A’s, engaging in exercises and practices, reading course materials, completing assignments, and working with your personal development reports. Once a month, you will meet with your peer learning group online with your assigned group coach.

Most of the program is accommodating and geared for adults with busy schedules. We understand that participants are already pressurised for time, so with this in mind, all the online live teachings will be available to watch on the learning portal once they are broadcast. We strongly encourage you to watch the live sessions at the time they occur, if possible, so you can participate in group exercises and Q&A sessions. You will need to commit to attending the online monthly group session mentioned in the previous question.

We estimate that the program will require an average of two hours per week of your time. For those that have additional time, there will be optional reading material and exercises.

Professional Experience:

Lisa Firer is a designer and facilitator. She has run a ceramic design business for the past 20 years and concurrently pursued a keen interest and practice in creative, movement and awareness-based processes as they pertain to human development, learning and awakening. 2006-2016 she offered basic Mindfulness practice to the full-time and modular MBA students at UCT Graduate School of Business, as well as to Executive Education groups from Anglo-Gold Ashanti, Standard Bank and Engen. She facilitated on the Business Acumen for Artists programme and GSB Leadership Executive Programme (LEP). She has also developed a programme entitled ‘Creative Awareness’, an 8-session intervention, as part of the Creativity in Business module offered on the Diploma in Entrepreneurship through the School of Management Studies, University of Cape Town. She has offered traditional Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction programmes, as well as shorter Taste of Mindfulness retreats in various contexts.
